Lockheed U-2 Images
The Lockheed U-2 is a single-engine, extremely high-altitude reconnaissance aircraft operated by the United States Air Force and by the Central Intelligence Agency. It’s nickname is “Dragon Lady” and it provides day and night, high-altitude, sometimes as high as 70,000 feet or 21,000 meters, support. The Lockheed U-2 is an all-weather surveillance aircraft that is also used for electronic sensor research and development, satellite calibration, and even satellite data validation.
